What is Liquid Plastic?

Liquid plastic roofing is a system that has been used on flat roofs for the past 50 years. It consists of plastic being poured as a liquid over an existing roof, creating an extremely effective waterproof coating.

This system can be applied onto most surfaces including asphalt, felt, metal and single ply membranes, making liquid coating systems one of the most versatile methods of flat roofing. It also can drastically reduce the costs of roofing works because assuming there was no severe damage to the material below there are no removal or disposal fees to pay to get rid of the existing structure.

Liquid coating roof systems are very workable and insulation can be integrated during the installation process to upgrade thermal performance. Due to the nature of using liquid as a material it allows extreme precision and flexibility when working around any intricate details.

These systems come with material backed guarantees, to ensure your flat roofs are watertight for up to 25 years.

What are the benefits?

Ease of application: Liquid plastic roofing is simple to apply, even on the most difficult-to-access and uniquely shaped roofs.

Cost-effective: It can be applied to a whole roof or just to sections. This means it can be used to fix problems in small areas or applied to the whole roof, cutting down costs.

Safety: Liquid plastic roofing can be applied to roofs cold. This reduces the risk of causing fires or other forms of heat damage while it’s being installed. This is in direct contrast with other roofing materials like felt or asphalt which both require heat.

Long-lasting: Liquid plastic roofing can last up to 30 years depending on the environment. This makes it a reliable, durable waterproof membrane.

Not disruptive: Installation can be carried out without causing any disruption to the inhabitants of a property due to the lack of risks associated with installation.
